After a series of health challenges in 2012, Patricea was introduced to meditation, mindful breathing, and essential oils to ease anxiety and symptoms of depression. In 2016, she began practicing asanas at home, so as to gently awaken muscles after leading a sedentary lifestyle for nine years. In the process of moving through the yoga poses, she found clarity of thought, calmness of emotions, and renewed health.
Following a daily practice that included Hatha Flow and Acro Yoga lessons that started in January 2017, Patricea decided to deepen her personal practice with a YTTC: she spent 4-weeks studying traditional Indian Hatha yoga at Yoga Vidya Gurukul in India, founded by Vishwas Mandlik (Rushi Dharmajyoti), considered one of 100 most inspiring yoga teachers in India. Her personal practice includes Hatha Flow as well as Yin and she draws inspiration from other teachers such as Derris Chew, Hee Boon, Hansel Cao, Tymi Howard Fender, Tonny Chang, Esther Ekhart, and Briohny Smith.
Patricea is a strong believer in having a loving relationship with yourself first, before you can love & care for others. She hopes that her students can achieve a happier and healthier life through a regular practice that combines yoga, pranayama, restful sleep & good nutrition. She believes that having mind-body-heart balance will help each person to more effectively manage stress, health and lifestyle disorders.
After a career spanning two decades in the corporate and finance worlds, Caroline took a break and stepped into her first yoga class at a neighborhood gym in 2004. This immediately kindled a deep and enduring passion in yoga, eventually prompting her to undertake her first yoga teacher’s training in 2012. An experienced teacher with 4,000 classes under her belt, she has also attained a 500-hour Advanced Vinyasa Teachers Training with Jason Crandell focusing on the alignment-based vinyasa method.
A prominent part of her teaching experience has been with major gym and fitness chains, along with beginner and intermediate level classes at yoga studios. In addition, she has had the pleasure of providing corporate classes to many established corporations including UOL, Rolls Royce, Marina Bay Sands, Citibank and NTU. Thus she is familiar with the needs and aspirations of widely diverse yoga participants.
Her previous volunteer involvement with Place for Academic Learning and Support (PALS) where she taught children cancer survivors left a deep impression on her. Coupled with the experience of guiding mature adults who only began exercise much later in their lives, she now holds a deep conviction that yoga is truly for everyone. The key is to practice safely, keep an open mind and take the time to explore till we find the teacher and style that best suits us.

Helen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Media Management, and went on to work in various dynamic industries including lifestyle, home and fashion, food and beverage, and entertainment and events.
When she discovered the beneficial support of meditation, her life began to transform. Mindfulness & Meditation helped Helen tremendously and she believes it was one vital component in her journey of recovery and basically saved her life. Through a life-changing incident, Helen gained the clarity and motivation to realize that she needed to do something more purposeful, and the idea of Nirvana Mind was born.
Helen studied with the Inner Voyage Holistic Human Development School of Meditation and Alternative Therapy (IVHHD, and has attained her IVHHD Certificate in Meditation Teaching & Holistic Human Development, and her Certificate in Chair Yoga Instruction.
She is pursuing her qualifications in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher Training and is currently a certified MBSR Teacher in training with the University of California San Diego Medical School’s Center For Mindfulness.
Currently, she is a Death & Birth Doula in training and is on her journey as a certified Birth Doula with Childbirth International (CBI).
She is also a Kundalini Yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan) teacher in training and will be Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) certified.
Helen wants to share the wholesome benefits of Mindfulness & Meditation, by making it accessible for everyone.
